A short note about who I can’t work with
You might find it odd for me to tell you who I can’t work with but there’s no point in wasting anyones time as time is so precious.
Unfortunately I can’t work with everyone, I wish I could but it’s simply not possible and I now look to work almost exclusively with care focused business owners.
So, I’ve written a blog post here to explain this in more detail.

The Secret of Success
An independent social worker contacted me as they were great at providing support to clients but were falling further and further behind with the financial records as well as getting confused by how much they were owed.
THE PROBLEM
The client had too little cash in the bank due to slow receipt of payments and too little time to follow this up.
WHAT WE DID
I helped her chase up outstanding payments. Reviewed what had been invoiced to date and brought the Xero accounting records up to date.
HOW I DID IT
I undertook a full review of invoicing to work done alongside the client. I took over the Xero records so they didn’t have the hassle of keeping the books and arranged a more speedy payment cycle to put more cash into the bank account.
THE RESULT
The social worker spent more time caring for their clients and left the financial side of the business to me.
Time saved, cash flowing quicker and lots more sleep at night.

I am committed to making something wonderful happen
At Balloon Accounting I’ve set myself up on my own mission.
I can’t change the whole world but if I can do one little thing to help change the life of just one or two individuals then why wouldn’t I ?
So this is what I do.
Every time I complete a Tax Return I give a couple of pounds to a local charity who support the vulnerable.
It’s not earth shattering but it might be a very small part of changing someones life for the better and that matters.

Whether you’re in foster care, social work, education provision, care home, children’s nursery or health and well-being you have a passion to support others. I’ve worked in communities, I’ve been a foster carer and I’m married to Lisa, father to four terrific grown up children and grandad to six.
